How to make Custard Apple Yogurty Goodness muesli

One of the yummy things we like to have for breakfast is Custard Apple Yogurty Goodness muesli.

The GFLC occasionally buys custard apples and leaves the lying around hoping that I'l make it for her.  Unless you have a similar GFLC you'll need to go the super market and get one.

Today I thoughts I'd write down the recipe just to make sure there is a record of of how to make this special breakfast.

Ingredients:

3 oranges
2 cups of toasted museli
1 custard apple
yogurt
honey

Method:

  1. Juice the three oranges and pour it over the the muesli leaving it to soak for about 20 minutes while preparing the custard apple
  2. Cut open the custard apple and put the flesh, seeds and all, into a food processor. Blip the processor a few time so that the flesh gets broken up
  3. Remove the seeds.  This bit is a right royal pain in the arse and you really want to make you want Custard Apple Yogurty Goodness be fore you start.  I sort of take the flesh pulp out spoon by spoon and carefully pick out the big black seeds.
  4. Mix it all together, yogurt, muesli, custard apple, and as much honey as you want.

Then at some point GFLC will emerge from bedroom in orange fluffy dressing gown and koala slippers.

Serve immediately with coffee.
