Day 9

The three of us were up early and were riding out of Bruce Rock for York on some of the most picturesque and fun roads of the whole trip. It was cold but really sunny and we took turns leading through the gently curving country roads.

Arriving in York we stopped for breakfast at the Triumph cafe. It was quite the bikie scene with many bikes lined up out the front (mainly Triumphs but a few BMWs and Japanese bikes, no Guzzis though).

After a big breakfast was the final ride into Perth. It was a real change coming to terms with traffic lights and cars again and I found I had to really focus on my defensive riding. Ironically after navigating across the country we got a little lost and took a scenic route into town.

After checking in on the birthday party, 5 year old girls didn't seem quite the right way to end the first part of the adventure, so we went down the road to a fancy pub a had a bear and a pizza before going our separate ways.

I went into town and checked into my hotel and found out two things; a) Perth has draconian cbd motorcycle parking laws, b) parking was not included with my room.

Nice to know you haven't been taken by aliens (yet).

Yes, no alien abduction activity so far. Will try to send message if it happens on the way back.
